Photoshop changed my art skills9/29/2019 We have been learning about Photoshop this week in game design. We have been learning about Non destructive editing and destructive editing. I was doing an assignment on making a sandwich with layers, i had downloaded the pieces such as the bread, lettuce, tomato, and bacon. I had problems on removing the white outlines so the sandwich would look more realistic, I used non destructive editing to remove the white outlines. My friends helped me on that and it took me about 2 days to get use to it, now i am good at it, i used masking layers and using (Ctrl-I) to flip it and delete the white outlines. We had to add 2 more items to the sandwich and that was a drink with a straw sticking out and a bag of chips, i had did this part by myself because I was comfortable doing it and had no troubles. The second part was destructive editing where we colored a football player. We used an eraser to color it with a color palette and I learned new techniques such as switching colors with (X) and learning how to switch and move my layers around. The reason why it was destructive editing is because you could not go back to the previous stage just because you messed up. I am currently working on a Photoshop assignment where I use the same techniques from doing the football player and doing that on my own photo of my self. This has improved my art skills because I am learning new things and expanding my knowledge on computers and designing.
